My Sony does not recognize any type DVD media, it will play a CD. I have DVD-X-Copy Platinum and have not been able to burn a DVD. I removed Easy CD creator, MYDVD thinking those might interfer, but still nothing. I'm getting frustrated and am thinking of returning it. I've now had it 3 weeks, any suggestions?
did you update the firmware after u got it? if you did, u might have installed it incorrectly, that can cause some probs with drive working. Use the search function, type in dru530 or 530 or dw-18? (oem version of your drive) and check out some of the previous answers. u could also try typing dru510 or 510, as that drive has had similar problems. Cheers
