Hi ! i`m sorry if something similar to this has been posted before but I wanted to burn this .AVI DIVX file to a DVD so I used DVD Flick to convert it . I even downloaded Imgburn for the burning . Everything was going well until it showed that the 'Device is not present ' at the bottom of the Imgburn program .
So i`m guessing the reason why it never worked was because my blank DVD wasn`t right ....
So I want to know what kind of blank DVDs with what kind of specifications I`ll need to get this to work right. I tried it using a SONY DVD-R 120 minutes/ 4.7 GB . Ver 2.1/1x-16x .....
Also I tried checking the DISC info in Nero when I inserted the blank but it showed 'Empty. Please insert Disc'
    Please help !
    Thanks !

I`m not exactly sure how to check that but on my Drive it says SAMSUNG DVD multi player with COMPACT DISC RW ultra speed (Intel Pentium)
    2 drives NTFS (C:) 27.3 GB and (D:) 47.1 GB

If there is anything specific you need to know just let me know how coz I`m quite new to all of this.....
    Thanks so much !!!!!

I am thinking you need to flash your drive with the newest firmware, but we need to know which drive and model you have so we can guide you in the right direction. there are several ways to figure out which drive you have, but seeing how you have Nero I would say use the Nero Info Tool on your drive and it should tell you all you need to know. If that fail open up My Computer and right click on your DVD drive, select properties, and click on the settings tab, There you should see the name and model of your drive.

Ok that is a hard drive you are showing me (Seagate Barracuda 7200) I need to know about the DVD (Optical Drive)

From what info I get of your drive in the first image though (sh-m22c) when I looked up info about that model it appears that this is not a DVD burner at all.
This is a combo drive which means it will burn CD's and only play DVD's not record them. So do you see where this would be a problem and why you are getting that error message in Imgburn
thats because you do not have a DVD Burner.

    Sorry
