Sony DVD+-RW drive can it be made to write on + dvd discs

Hi people i have a sony DVD+-RW DW-Q58A slim drive and although i can burn onto -R/RW i cant burn onto +r disc's (but can on DL+R/RW)

Is there a firmware update that will allow me to burn onto these Dics?
Current firmware UDS1

 

It'll do: +r/+rw/+r DL/-r/and -RW

Here's some info,looks like the only good media report i saw is SonyD21 which is Sony +1x-16x media.

Cheers saugmon, flashed,re-installed nero 7.0.8.2 and worked a treat now i can use my "DVD+r"......very much appreciated.
