Hi Everybody! I am a newby, so be kind....I have a Sony DVD RW DW G120A in my PC. I was trying to burn a playlist from itunes to a CD and I keep getting a 4280 error. I called Apple Care (a joke) and they said to uninstall and reinstall iTunes, which I did. But I still can't burn a CD from my playlist. Any suggestions? My email is vkuhn@sbcglobal.net. My repair guy can't get to my computer until Wednesday and I guess I am just too impatient. HELP. Thanx in advance. Valerie
Welcome! Your request just underscores my belief that itunes is JUNK! Writing to a disk is not a big deal I have never heard of such a thing. I have Hotmail It worked flawlessly for 8 years then they upgraded to a 'better version' and I see new bugs every other day this has been going on for 1.5 years! Microsoft and Apple couldn't program themselves out of a paper bag! Anyone that knew anything is long gone. Try the free version of http://www.mediamonkey.com/ It is more complex than itunes but has no hidden agendas and it has a wonderful help forum. Once you figure out how to use it you will never be able to go back to that junker. itunes is near the botton of the consumer happiness scale. MM is one of the top apps. It has so many useful functions. Users make suggestions for new features. The good one are implemented. That is why it is so good. The free version has a crippled burn speed but it is still very workable. I have never experianced an error other than I have tried to put too much on a disk and I get the warning it will not fit on a disk. I have burned pleanty of disks. It stays neutral in the audio wars. itunes is not your friend. It does stuff to fool your that you might not like. They make all their money selling crippeled music. That is their objective sell more low quality DRMed music. The repair guy will not be able to fix a softare glitch.
