sony dw u18a please help

    hi,
    i have a sony DW-U18A burner. With this burner i can not burn with Ritek, CMC, and Princo 8x speed DVD-R's. i would like to know how it would be posible for me to do this without having to buy a new burner. Is there some kind of Firmware i can use to upgrade, so i can burn. if anyone has any suggestions please help me

    It may be that you need to update the firmware for your drive. Here's a good link:

    If you've never flashed a drive before it would be a good idea to check out the forums there and read up on it since if you do it incorrectly you can trash your drive. It's not hard at all, it just needs to be done right :)
