Hello, I have VAIO VGC-RA710G with Giga pocket tv tuner card. Since my Hard drive died I had to replace it and recover the system. Now I am still able to watch TV through coaxial cable, but I do not know how to watch (capture) analog signal from my VCR that is connected to the same card by using composite cables.

What capture software are you using and does it show the Coax TV signal? If so than you may need to change the connection being captured in the software. My ATI AIW has 3 different choices and I have to change the connection type depending on what I am capturing.

I have tried Windows Movie Maker and Media Center (this plays my TV), but could not find any option for changing inputs. I had to replace my hard disk and perhaps some software was not recovered. Playing VCR used to work, but to be honest I do not remember software I used. I think there used be "Giga Pocket" icon in control panel.

I've never used Windows Movie Maker but apparently it is on my computer. I checked it out and when I choose "capture from video device" on the left pane I got available devices. I choose the ATI and then below the devices I could choose "video input source". Is this drop down box there for you when you choose your device? I could choose TV, composite or S-Video.
