i am selling my 2 year old sony vaio and I want to be sure it is in the original condition, ie I dont want new owner to find any info about me,, is there a procedure to restore it to factory settings?,, without losing the pre installed software?? Thank you! Emma
if not have recovery disks then press f10 or f12 lets you start system recovery back to original settings as when you bought the pc. all software that you put on after you bought the pc will be gone.
Hi thank you for the response!! I clicked f12 something came up but i'm not actually sure how to make it restore. Sorry for being dumb!!
i think it gives you 2 options, 1 is destructive format so that nothing og yours is left on the pc & the 2nd is non-destructive that reloads windows but all your info is still there.
