sorted out FTP and internet simultaneous running

hi all

recently softmodded my Xbox with the help of chunks
outstanding tuts. so onwards and upwards, i couldnt
go on the net and FTP my xbox at the same time so
the hunt was on. my setup is as follows.

Xbox to PC NIC with crossover cable.
PC to Modem Router Via Wireless PCI.

Wireless adapter is DCHP and IP is set
by the provider.

Router IP (default IP) is 192.168.2.1

NIC is 192.168.0.1
SUB is 255.255.255.0
Default gateway is blank
DNS Preffered blank
DNS Alternate blank

under the WINS tab set netbios to

enable netbios over TCP/IP.

OK so far? now to get the Xbox working with it.
set the Wireless to SHARE this allows the NIC
with the xbox to use the internet.

Xbox settings

STATIC
IP set to 192.168.0.100
Default gateway 192.168.0.1
DNS 192.168.0.1.

your done! make sure you do these settings in
the Softmod and the Xbox dash if you have it.
my problem was because i hadnt shared the
connection and then i needed to change my
Default gateway (initially 192.168.2.1) to 192.168.0.1
DNS (initially 0.0.0.0) to 192.168.0.1

im not a novice at setting up a network but i had never
had to do it like this before. its taken around 18hrs
to sort it, mainly just going round and round and searching
XBMC forums and here. i hope this info helps out anyone
having similer probs.
