    Newbie.
Have a sony vaio desktop with a pioneer dvd burner.
i use DVD cloner II to decrypt and save to HD.
When I try to use nero or DVD cloner II to burn to a disk the application freezes up about 2 seconds after the disk is installed.
    What I have tried:
Closing all apps "messenger, virus scanning, etc...._
    Changing to different media.

I'm about to pull my hair out,
    Any Ideas?
    Thank you bigTIME in advance,

read the faqs and guides first on this site. is your aspi layer correct? Does nero work? what version? I like dvd shrink for ripping dvds. It analyzes the disc quickly and will tell you if the disc is unreadable before you rip to hard drive

First off, thx for the reply.
Nero does the same thing. I know the disk is good bc I checked it and tried different brands of media as well. How much HDD space do you need?

Hi cztheday, what are your specs? O/S, processor, ram, HD. I also suggest updating your aspi layer. Give DVD Shrink a try. Also when you rip with DVD Cloner and save to your HD, how big is that file? I've only done the straight rip and burn. Does it compress it?
