i recently built a system for a friend and his motherbaord is a ECS Eliteboard K75SA with a SIS 7012 audio that is built in. The device has been installed correctly and it shows no conflicts or driver problems in the device manager. The problem is that on startup everything works fine he can play mp3's and movies with full sound. But if he stops playing those kinds of sounds after about half an hour then it says there is no audio device installed or that it is in use by another application when he tries to play mp3's. The weird thing is though that even after this happens windows sound scheme still works and you hear the error sounds etc... Although a reboot fixes the problem temporarily. I have also just removed a virus from his system however but everything else seems in perfect working order im stumped i could overwrite windows files but does anyone else have a better suggestion? Thanks for your time i know its a long post
hey that seems to have worked im not 100% yet but it seems like it has thanks a lot ddp your awesome i installed them fro ECS and it had no effect didnt think of doing it from the SIS site Thanks again
always update from chipset manufacturer not board manufacturer as i've updated newer drivers than what is posted on board site. teach & learn.
