Speed up shrink and burn

    I have an athlon 900 with 384mb or ram and my dvd shrink takes forever(over an hour). And if i burn a video onto a dvd it takes even longer is there a way to speed up those processes so that i wil be able to Decrypt, shrink, and burn faster. I have thought about getting more ram.

    more ram helps, check to see if the burner dma is enabled & don't use the computer while burning. how much free space on hd?
