Ok is it me or what, I have a new Memorex DVD-RW and with DVD-Decr. it's read rate is x2.0-2.1 speed now does that sound right, I mean I don't have a problem with that even though the dvd-rom speed is 16x read. I think slower is better to get a good read. Soooo I could be a little anal about it
Have a look at the read speed of your reader for dvdrw and also the specs of the dvd itself. I think you will find between 2x and 2.4x is common read speed for dvdrw.... Others claim that they can read dvdrw at higher speeds but have yet to discover how!!!!! So it's not you - I have the same thing happening but can cope with it.... Hope this helps...
Yes i have to agree with you on that note, but anyways this is the dvd-writer that i have http://www.memorex.com/products/product_display.php?cid=161&pid=584&oid=671 Your thought, you have been a great help movie come out so good, cant tell from dvd-rip to origanal
Yep, according to the link you posted, if you have a look at product specifications it shows the different read/write speeds for the burner.... And for -rw and +rw it displays 2x/2.4x.... You can also encounter a similar problem with cdrw as well - ie they read/write at lower speeds compared to cdr's..... I use my standalone recorder to put TV stuff onto +rw, then I transfer it to -r (cheaper) via the PC and always encounter between 2x and 2.4x during the read process......but I am in no rush and yes reading at lower speeds can decrease the possibility of read errors..... Hope this helps.....
I think if you read the first post, you will notice it is related to rw's.... No offense intended........
