I am making a copy of a DVD which I created and own the copyright to. I get a splash screen which comes up saying that this is a copy. Can I get this removed.

I think you are stuck with it. You could probably take your burned disc and load it into a reauthoring program, remove the stuff you don't want and burn the compilation to another disc, but thats pretty redundant. I have back-ups burned with X copy gold and just live with it. I use other programs, Shrink, Decrypter, Nero 6, etc that work great but I use my X copy when I just want to copy without re-authoring and don't mind two discs. I've tried eXpress a time or two but I think I can get better results by using other programs. I wish I could use the X copy programs more, they were not free.

Hi Guys, In case you missed it, At the beginning of the One click transcoding forum is a post by PsiDoc titled 321 gone screen remover. He wrote a small program to easily remove the splash screen. It only works with Express and only with movie backup not complete dvd backup. I tried it on Windows Me and it worked great. He said he would try to get it to work with complete dvd backup but its not posted yet. I use it when I can. Jerry

Try running DVD Decrypter on the DVD - on 321studios Xcopy'ed discs it cuts thru the watermark - it doesn't remove the DVD-BACKUP splash screen though.
