Okay here's the deal, I have a 40.007GB hard drive on my computer. Last time I did a format it did a 13.5GB on C and the rest on D drive. Today I had to format my computer (Which was stupid...cuz of my external hard drive was also formatted... stupid me...wish I could find a way to get the info back...) but the weird thing was my C drive was set to 15GB and the rest to the D Drive... This is weird... I mean is there a way to set certain amount of space to each drive? or can you make one big drive or multiple drives? Just curious... I mean I do have a 160GB external but when I'm out it might be useful somehow... Anyways thanx
Hey how did you do that? use one partition? anyways is there a way to split drives? When I first got my computer it was 2 drives one was empty which was D and my C drive was everything default... Is there a way to make one drive or multiple ones?
Partition Magic works very well for changing partition sizes, adding partitions, etc. It does that, without destroying data on the hard drive.
you can use fdisk but will lose info whereas pm moves info to drive you want to keep if deleting partition
yeah, Partition Magic is definately the way to go as far as partitioning. formatting, and changing drive configurations.
