I have an srt file that I am trying to time shift with 'Time Adjuster'. After processing two entries it quits with no error. 'Nero' will add the subts to the avi file ok but 'media player classic' and 'windows media player' will not. I have examined the file with 'notepad' and 'wordperfect x3' and can see no extraneous characters. Is there a hex editor in Win xp that I can check it with? Perhaps someone knows another free program that I can time shift it with that is more tolerant to invisible format errors.

    Thanks, John.

If it's just an .srt file, I believe Subtitle Workshop or Subtitle Processor will both work fine in changing the timing of the subs. Try those out and see what happens.

Many thanks, Subtitle Workshop did the job just fine.
