I know this has been asked loads of times before but I have a weird problem... I have been trying to convert ntsc .avi files to burn them on a dvd for my philips dvd recorder..I get the video ts and audio ts folders and everything looks ok but the files inside..vob etc just give me black screen..they are (or seem) about the right size, and the software I used to convert did the whole process frame by frame and converted everything..the only thing I did was to change the output file from ntsc to pal...could that explain this?? got the sound ok..
I tried 3 or 4 with either no success at all or with sound and no video?? Will check as that is on comp at home and I'm at work now..
Quick mail home..... superdvd factory v5.7 Pinnacle TRex video converter Video2DVD Pro Ultra DVD Creator..(got to 100% with 1 sec remaining and crashed!!) Great what I do when I should be working!!.. I cured it by playing it on ny xbox and recording it with the philips just wondering why it didn't work??
1) You may have a codec problem. For that, try download and install K-Lite Codec Pack (full or mega version) from this site. 2) You may also try use VSO DivxToDVD (free version) for encoding. It's pretty fast and reliable: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm Good luck!
As far as I know I installed all the codecs possible..I'll download those and try again...(really lost interest ..film not for me anyway) If I try again I'll let you know how I get on..Thanks
Great..worked a treat, don't know if it was the codecs or the converter but all sorted..I can't thank you enough..the kids are overjoyed!! THANKS..
