Starview 1 problems NO CHANEL'S in Glasgow 2010 as of today 9/3/2010 a little help PLEASE SCOUSER old M8 or is my Starview 1 I also have Starview 2 the Box so are they BOTH officially a Pair of DOOR STOPS , JUST NEED TO NO WHAT TOO DO NEXT CHEERS M8.

 

just factory reset the boxs, remove any splitter you may be using and rescan on your provider, then turn the EMU back on, not a lot you can do furthur

Glasgow gone this morning as of 3am.

No need to become a doorstop however.

You could always reflash the Starview back to the old firmware and hey presto a Freeview box.

 

huh? you will get the same chans that are designated as Freeview regardless of the firmware

 

Not all of them I was always missing one or two even when the Starview 4 box was working on the full V package.

Itv3 , Itv4 i think and a few others.

 

that could be down to a host of things, signal, your cabling etc etc, if you are supposed to get 1, 10 or 20 chans that are Free to view, you will get them regardless, nothing to do with firmware as such,

if you turn the EMU off on your SV, it will only display those free to view chans anyways.

 

It must be the Starview as i have v m package and the n** box sitting next to the starview (both on a 3db splitter) picks up virgin1 etc but the starview has very few stations left a lot less than the v+ box or my freeview box in the bedroom.

Will only be able to say for sure once ive flashed it.
You are probably correct but its worth a go.

Brilliant thanks I got mine up and running again too..except Sky sports 1 chan 511 now has FX..anyone know how I can get skysports 1 back?

SP1 is still available via all channels, on my sv5 box.

So far so good.

 

mine still not working. im using sv4 with 1.07 loaded. is there a newer version i have missed? thanks

 

hey ppl im new to this..my box has also gone..im in London ..my Movie channels and skysports have stopped..i tried a factory reset and rescan and turned keycode on..still no luck..

any one have ideas pleasssses im on N*L area

@ dav0504 - latest file is 1.12 found in my sig below, you need to follow the above what I said to get chans back.

If anyone is missing SKY SP 1, just delete the FX chan and it will drop in there,

But as I said, the boxs are coming to an end and you will be doing this here on in, the only thing is reset, remove any splitters, use the cable direct into the box and rescan again, you may need to do this a few times, but thats all you can do going forward. Mark Apr in your calendors approx for the final blow

 

I have a eurovox7000hd box living in the essex area I have just lost most of my virgin media channels. I understand that this service is coming to an end. Is there anything I can do to get my channels back even in the short term. Hopefully someone will come up with a more permanent answer to my problem in the near future?
