i have a starview 2 i had a bad flash before tried everthing not ablea to download information have put c-ds manually have done this but box keeps updating and then goes back and does it again im on telewest by the way can anyone help was working fine
Try it on a channel with stong singal Sky 2, disc turbo or bbc might just kick in and stop the loop .This worked for me after trail and error on different channells. Good luck
tried that still no good if i had wrong c-ode would it still keep trying to update and keep looping or would it not work at all
You say you have had a bad flash!!! don't think so or it would not be working at all, (You would have continous ---- going across LCD) and yes if you have an incorrect C*** in it will keep in updating loop. Go into Eamo's FTA Library and down load the last UK firmware update for you box, you say it is Starview 2, then it must say The Box top left front - that is referred to as Starview 2. Just reflash your box because it is working fine in TW UK.
are there different co-ds for different areas in watford its says ntl on cover but they changed to telewest if i not mistaken its a friend one that i give him .he is not sure
If it is Starview 2 The Box as said above, just flash your box with this firmware from Eamo's FTA library and it will update the C**** for you okay, now make sure what model of box you have, in other words correctly identify it. And please do not keep making a reference to *****, there really is no need in the UK at the moment to go down that way, just update your box. http://www.4shared.com/dir/3042613/f6e3421c/sharing.html Bin File and Loader.
Your welcome, but just to remind you - Identify your box, Starview 2 says The Box in red at the top left hand corner, is this what you have, if so then do use that Firmware and Loader in my last post.
tried downloading keeps failed like before will not be me put new firmware on tried switching off hitting download and switching on still no good need help any ideas
Describe your box please for identification purposes - also are you using a NULL MODEM lead or an adaptor - have you flashed a box successfully with the lead before - and what O/system are you using Vista or Window XP, sorry about the questions but need to know, you should not have any problems if you have a Null Modem lead and OS XP.
used windows xp and have flashed a different box with the same null modem have tried everything with this box only thing seemed to work was manuall but that looping seems to have got me unless you have any ideas
