hi i have read through many pages on this site about updateing my box, which until today i have never had any trouble with am a bit worried about doing wrong ...... i have checked me vents and its a gen not a clone box when i check my sysetem settings it tells me API VER 2.57e_E BOOT VERSION 7.0 16 AUG 2006 i have followed celtics link and got the file GTROM _SUPER8.2E EXE but also have a GTROM_SUPER.4E EXE can some one tell me please which if any is the right file to use as dont wanna brick my box thanks in advance andy
That Firmware you have detailed does not tally with the SV3 - exactly what does it say on the top lefthand corner front of your box, does it say Starview - The Box - The Box Super which?
thanks for the reply, yes its says starview on the box i think have have got the wrong software/firmware, gud job asked and have not dont out yet cheers
Then you have the Starview 1, and that firmware you have on is for the clone box (although it will do no harm to run it on the genuine) - This is the up to date firmware for the SV1 it contains two BIN files CORE257 for clones - CORE400 for genuine, but if in doubt as I have said the 257 is perfectly safe to use, but you have stated that you are sure it is genuine so it is your choice, you will need the GTRom 4.00 Loader. http://www.4shared.com/file/76381726/e8ad316e/CryptStar-v15.html http://www.4shared.com/file/39363235/94f9b87/GTRom_v400.html Anything that you need you can find in Eamo's FTA Library - link at the bottom.
