try pressing menu on your remote, then scroll down to factory reset(enter your pin number,if you never used a pin put in 0000)now choose your language and then press ok on installation. choose your provider(virgin/ntl etc)and scroll down to auto scan and press ok. when the scan is finished press exit and go back to where it says language(now type 1570 on your remote)you are now in the hidden menu, scroll down to emu, use the right arrow button on your remote to change emu from off to on,press exit back to tv channels. you will need to reset your clock and any parental settings, and your pin number is now 0000.
I have only lost sky premier I believe its virgin updating but I have only lost that one channel sky premier what you sent me is for if you lose everything
what i gave you is instructions to reset your box and then rescan for all your channels you wont lose anything, its the only way to get back missing channels. cable providers move their channels around and an ordinary scan wont get them back, you have to do a reset. is your firmware up to date(meaning does it update when a code changes)if it does, after you scanned for channels it will update the codes automatically. if you put the codes in manually then you will need to enter them again if you do a reset. you asked for help, this is how you fix it,but you dont have to.
Hi guys. had problems aswell today, have done the factory reset but now the 1570 pin doesnt work so I cant get into the hidden menu. Anyone know what to do? Much appreciated.
My apologies for being a time waster, think the 5 button on my remote has worn down; so after pressing hard out of anger the code worked! Got it working. Sorry again! On a side note, with FX being in SS1's place, if I delete it I lose FX altogether because I cant find it located anywhere else. Anyone else have that problem?
your provider may have moved sly sports to a new frquency,if you know someone on your provider with a box like yours that has sly sports you can get the frequency(as starview boxes display the channel frequencies below the channel list).im not on your provider so i cant give you the frequency, but im sure someone on here could help you there(it also could just be your provider doing tests and the channels may reappear again)you might be able to check your provider via google for service information.
try connecting the cable direct to your tv for a bit(go to an unused channel on the tv) and try to tune in any channels. if you get no channels at all it would seem your provider is just down temporarily, but even if it is n3 you will still have some channels on the box.
After doing the factory re-set, I notice the listed PPV channels aren't there anymore. Is there still a channel that will show these events when they come on, ie. boxing and wrestling? Or are they gone for good?
Piopat has explained. Virmin are changing channel frequencies. All you need to do is be patient. Do a factory and rescan and all will be restored. It may not work tonite or tomorrow. You just need to wait a couple of days until Virmin decide their channel allocation. Then you will be fine
I've done the factory reset already, i'm just asking if the channels where the ppv's are shown have moved to a different channel number because none are listed?
its your provider moving frequencies. your cable.xml/ terrestrial.xml file covers the total spectrum. Your provider is in transition and moving channels around. It may be the case that some channels can be hidden by others as they are on the frequency where the new channel is now being transmitted. Patience. Do a rescan tomorrow night, the next night etc... they will come back
