    Hey,

I have the Starview 4 Box and had it up and running a few months ago in a rented apartment. I recently moved house and got in Vi@Gin Broadband and have hooked the box up again.

When I turn it on all I get is a message "No Signal". Does this mean the Box won't work anymore or is there a fix for it?

    Cheers in advance,
    CJ

nag.3 is more than likely in your area and has blocked all old boxes from working
you can read up on the new starview.6 or the kryptview a780

I tried Restoring Factory settings and Searching for the Channels again. Problem is, because of No Signal it doesn't find any channels and any time I try exit out of the menu it asks me to select a Language.

Do you reckon I would get signal if I updated to the latest version (v1.12bin i think?).

Seeing as the box appears to be done. Is it possible to use it just as a freeview box at all?

    Hey!

    Got it working again!

    This is what I did:

    1) Did a Factory Restore
    2) Hooked it up directly to the cable from the wall (i.e. Removed the Splitter).
    3) Searched for channels using Chorus
    4) Found the channels then connected it up using the splitter again.

All seems to be good again, apart from the channels are a bit messed up. For example, all the Music channels are in the Movies Category.

But thanks for your help anyway hooter007. It was good to get a reply.

    Cheers
    CJ
