Yes its called The Box Super USB. Basically a single tuner PVR with USB support. So you can record to a hard drive.

Want to be a very big stick or a short film :) You can use a stick to flash firmware updates.

Sorry Scouse for being a pain in the arse,in your opinion are they much better than the starview 3,ie are they worth paying the extra freight for them?

TBH yes they are a good box if you are looking at a single tuner PVR. But dont forget you need to add on the price of a hard drive if you want to use it to its full potential. But if you only want to watch TV then the SV3 or other similar boxes will do.

There are other boxes on the market that do the same thing. There are also dual tuner models, obviously on the dearer end of the scale. I have yet to test the box fully as I am awaiting a new HDD. But as said it is an improvement on the SV3 purely from its additional facilities as previously mentioned.

    Scouser,

You say its only a single tuner PVR, so would I be right in saying its not the same as the Starview PVR and more like the eurovox pvr with usb features??

Yes basically. The SV/Box PVR is a dual tuner box. The SV4 has as said USB support. Similar in many ways to the EV PVR with regards to functionality. The USB is used for flashing and external HDD.

    Take a look here

Have been asked to get the SV 4 pvr for someone but not sure about the stability of it in Irl. Would like to hear more...

According to a review I read in some other forumn it's pretty much the same as the SV PVR ReadyTwin. Apparently, the EPG on the SV4 has a better response time.

Would like to hear how stable a box it is in Irl. Are there clones out there for the SV 4 & where's the best place to buy one?...

cactikid, How long a wait d'ya think?

    Cheers,

    X7

To preset record on the SV3 PVR ya have to press the EPG button on the remote, scroll to the programme you want to record and when programme is highlighted press the record button on the remote. Select Ok to record.
I assume this feature has been carried over to the SV4. If not, sorry...lol

    Guys,
In the market for new pvr. Had SV pvr twin tuner which looks like it has died. Plus recording issues which where hit and miss.
Does this SV4 pvr USB really have a 7 day epg, sort channels into sports, movies, news, films etc, not split recordings and have a fast channel change speed????
If this is so, then I think I will go for it. I know I lose the twin tuner, but seems a fair swap to me.
PS Is the firmware out at the moment OK???
    Cheers

I have just bought a new starview 4 genuine. Trouble is it keeps coming up as "no channels found" when auto tune or manual is selected and bar reads %100. I have checked that it is on the correct network and that everything is connected up properly. Any body have any ideas? Please.
