starview 4

my starview 4 has stop scanning/seraching channels it went down around 3 weeks agao. Does anyone know if there is a new firmware or has anyone got similar problems. (london area)

 

factory reset and rescan, make sure you select either NTL or CW / Telewest as yer provider, as ya dont say what area I am not sure which one to choose.

When you have scanned, makre sure you turn the EMU back on, menu - type 1570 and turn keycode to on and exit all the way out to a chan and let it update

 

Hi - i live in Heckmondwike in West Yorkshire (postcode WF16), and about a week ago my starview 4 won't bring up any channels. I get the channel list, menu etc but just no picture or sound - not even the free to air channels like bbc.

MICKAH , would i need to follow your instructions and choose NTL? Sorry i am all new to this.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

if you have channels listed first check-menu1570 set default key,press once ,also make sure keycode is on or enabled.
do you get any message on screen on any channel as you would get fta channels.

 

Hi cactikid , thanks for your response.

I have gone in to menu 1570 and set default key. The keycode is "on". I exited out and waited for the channel to come up but i only get black/blank screen with no sound. There are no error messages or anything like that.
I have tried several channels - from "paid" ones to FTA but no joy

I've read elsewhere her to restore factory settings, re-scan etc but i have not done this yet. Should i?

Hi, Can someone please help me.

About a month a go i lost all my channel, I have try to rescan and did factory re set but still no luck.

I live in Leeds and got the super starview box with usb.

Can someone please advice me if there is an fault with the area or it just my system.

sorry no box now works in leeds as they went to nagra 3,and the rest of uk will follow.new encryption like in irl.

 

if you want to scan always factory reset first 0000 to delete,remove any splitters first ,auto scan correct provider,then set default key and emu or keycode to on/enable and exit out.

Hey - just wanted to let you know i followed cactikid's instructions and all is fine. Got all channels back although had to manually tune in sky sports 1.
