Some sky movie channels keep coming on with onboard commentary of what's happening in the film is their anyway to turn this off. Some times it's sky premiere and sometimes Sky screen. Also their is no sound on Sky scifi. have latest firmware updated. And finally when is this n3 kicking in read some posts that its up in yorkshire. Does this mean that the box is deemed useless.
YES it will roll out in the UK. next year ,Now here in Irish Republic. all channel are gone over to Nagra.3 and Nagra 4 on N~L. Only some left on mmds systems here. Are these subtitles that u see when watching Sky Channels. If so try pressing the red button on ur remote marked in red with sub on it .to see if it will cancel it for u. when press it should read english /subtitles/ off. Press off. Now of course in the UK they might go down the other route over to internet provider tv connection by the cables providers. try to factory reset the box and retune the channels back in to see if u get sound on the scifi ch. And if they switch to the new coding sytems your will be Useless. Nagra 3 is out a long time in europe has not been hacked fully yet.hope this will help u
Thanks for that reminder nas1981,i forgot all about it to press the Audio Button. we here been off a good while and i did not think of it.sevva you may have to rebooth the firmware update ,if u can't get it to work at all. Good Luck.
Hi MICKAH. i had that same problem when my box was working B4 they where switched off. sound gone on some channels but found that when i deleted them and scan them back in some channels did not work. So i found that worked was to reset factory setting and retune all channels back in and it worked like a dream for me at that time. Now if the Delete and rescan does not worked for sevva. He might have to do in what i said above in my last thread.ok thanks hope this will help u sevva with all the info.in these threads.
cheers guys didnt have to rescan just pressed the audio button pretty bad news about that n3 lark, guy that told me to get box sets up sky etc and he knows the lot about card sharing, apparently hacked sky though got caught. So probs gonna ask him about when they gonna be rolling it out seems jan feb and March its gonna be nationwide
Well sevva, lot of talk on card sharing going around.Sky has come under attack from cybor space over the last 18 months or so .they introduced a new smart card this month because of the break in to their network encryption system.To do with cards >Look up this site called (fts bin.net)H and look up the tread on card sharing Nagra 3 and sky nds on a hack for these Prima cards. now there are also a lot of fake rumours as well going around as well.Hackers finding Nagra 3 hard to crack ,may now move over to a much easier Encryption like Dave V-Guard and D-Cypher. as i said B4 on the matter is N~L has nagra 3 and are testing all new Nagra 4 over here. Nagra 3 this side of europe is new to us here ,but out in rest of europe out a long time, so now looking for all new updated nagra to come. so here comes N4 on the wing. uk providers were waiting to see what happen in ireland if nagra was going to be hached or not. but as we have seen it worked a dream for n~l. I say sky would loved if Nagra 3 was hacked it would give them more business .ok sevva
anyone know if its possible to put firmware on starview 5 without usb stick, just got box and was told it had software in it and was ready to go but cant get 1570 menu to turn on emu, all free to air channels work fine an ideas thanks
THIS FILE IS NOT A FIX FOR NAGRA 3 To load the files just drag them on to a memory stick formatted to fat32 in windows XP and then with the box POWER turned OFF put the memory stick in the USB port at the back of the receiver. Turn on and then press the menu button on the remote there you will see USB at the bottom of the screen. Just highlight USB with the remote then you will see the (Box Super USB Bin file) appear on the screen. Highlight the Box Super USB Bin File with the remote and press the ok button then you will see the file start loading in to the Box. Do not touch the remote or the box for at least 30 seconds after the box has rebooted other wise you will end up with a dead box displaying 8882 on the display there is no way to recover this box after this happens you will have to send back to the supplier After you have uploaded the software from your memory stick, turn the box POWER OFF again , and remove the stick now turn it back on again as below • Plug the box in to the TV using the usual scart lead. • Turn on the box, press menu and go to installation, • Select correct provider i.e. N**, C/W or TW ch***s • Then automatic scan • Once the channels are found, exit back to the blank screen • Press menu (ignore what is on the screen) and press 1 5 7 0, this takes you to a secret menu, • Go down to K*y CODE and turn it on. • Now exit and wait for it to store all the data. • That’s it, have fun CLICK HERE FOR SOFTWARE
