Good morning one and all !

I see there are a lot of UK resellers marketing the imminent release of the new Starview 6 box as working in Ireland. Does anyone have confirmation that this is correct and that it unscrambles Nag3?

I updated the firmware plugged mine in to the cable and internet and TADA its smashing works a treat! I'm in Santry Dublin all OK here ;-) Not tried the homestream software yet but if it works well its looking good for saving me watching my movies on my PC too - EXCELLENT!

What range of channels can it do here, is it the regular bunch from N*L, or will it do sport movies etc.

    Thanxs

Is there a service charge involved or do I have to join something.
Whats the bandwidth overhead? Are the ISP's watching? Will they block?

cost of the box covers for a year after that, a new box, no heavy usage as your not getting the chans via bband, just the unscrambling part of it and yes, I am sure upc will monitor their network and can block the IP, other ISP's wont give a damn,

Have a read of the SV6 threads, all covered already, the ins and outs

your right in the part about the updates on new boxes each year they come out with a new box
i know people who still have the box sv1
but the price has gone down as they were around 300 when they came out first and now you can get the sv.6 for 100
