Starview 6

Hello everyone

I have just bought the starview 6 box and I am trying to get the channels working.

I cannot get the following option Menu - Option -networks - net application - select type “Ustream(UK) or Istream(Ireland.

Could someone please help me with this.

Did you even read the tut I just gave you, down load the firmware, drag it onto a memory stick and follow the tut I gave to you

 

I have down load the firmware drag it onto a usb stick when i try to highlight file by scrolling down on remote then press ok nothing happens.

I have done starview hd combo before i had no trouble.

is the mem stick formatted? did you format to Fat32? Format the memory stick then, drag across the file, make sure the box is off when connecting or disconnecting the memory stick,

then you go to utility and then select USB as per the tut.

 

Sorry what do u mean is the mem stick formatted?? On the mem stick is has got fat32. If u press fat32 nothing happens.

make sure its formatted, put the stick in to the PC, then right click it, then format and makre sure its formatted to Fat32, this clears everything off the stick also, once its formatted, then drag the file onto it, then connect to the box as per the tut

 

Try formatting the mem stick drag the file onto it connected to the box highlighted the carling file press ok on remote control nothing happens.

Shall i try drag this file with rs232

 

???? the Sv6 is flashed via USB, not the RS232, are you selecting utility - then USB - then pressing OK, then you should see the file thats loaded to the USB stick, the carling file, if not, i suggest you use a different mem stick as something isnt right

hang on, if you see the file on the USB stick when you insert it into the box, then the file is OK and the stick is ok, you need to scroll down to the file, so its utility - then USB - then you will see the file, once you see the file that means your stick is ok and ready to flash the box, using the remote you highlight the file (scroll down to it on screen using the remote) and then press OK, then you will see the software / flash screen updating

 

I have tried two different mem stick still no luck.

 

your doing something wrong, if you followed the above to the letter, you should see the file on the stick and on the screen, its a matter of using the remote to tap down to highlight the actual file and then press OK, so if your seeing the file as you said above, are you using the remote to actually highlight the file then? or are just pressing ok and nothing happening? you need to make sure the file is highlighted or it wont work,

 

I have highlighted the file and tap ok still nothing happens.

sorry but it sounds like something is a miss then, the remote, is working OK yes? if it is and you have used both sticks and you can see the file, highlighted the file, but nothing is happening when you highlight the file and press OK, then I would suggest you return the box as something is not right there at all

 

I got it working I deleted the file downloading the file then it seem to work.
