I received my starview box and everything sucessful on PC part. I have gone through installation but it is finding no channels. I bought the box up to my friends house who has N*L and 188 channels are coming in. I have N*L cable which I got switched on last week, could it be they have blocked me using box in my house.

Have you got your incoming cable in "Cable Input" and a scart to the TV

Ok the best thing to do is a factory setting and proceed with a fresh installation

    Menu > Factory Setting
    PIN 0000
    OK to delete

Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on

    English > Installation
    Choose N*L etc
    Automatic Scan
    Press OK
    176 Channels found
    Exit

    Menu 1570
    Turn EMU key ON

    Exit , exit , exit

Plug your incoming straight into the TV and see if you have normal stations

    Hi Celtic

Thanks for getting back, I have the normal stations. as I said in my first post, my daughter took the box to her friends house and all the channels loaded. When she came back last night I plugged in the box and low and behold the channels were there. Some of them are not working, there either frozen or black screen, they were all working at the friends house. How can I fix this problem. Thanks again for helping me.

You need a booster as your signal is probably too weak.

Do you think the Booster box will solve the problem

I had a similar problem to you and I ended up changing the cable, connectors and splitters. I was even able to get rid of the booster I had, (although this may be different in your case, dependent upon your set up). Here are some links for you:

    Best booster

http://www.beststuff.co.uk/konig_amp-pro30.htm , although Maplins/Argos do a variety of these but they are no where near the quality of this one.

    CT100 Cable

    Twist On F Type Connectors
