starview box problem

    HI! CAN ANYONE HELP?

    WHEN TRYING TO DOWNLOAD THE NEW SOFTWARE ONTO THE BOX I GET THE MESSAGE, " CAN'T OPEN THE SERIAL POINT, THE SYSTEM CANNOT FIND THE FILE SPECIFIED".

    DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANY SOFTWARE TO READ THIS FILE?

    use gtrom and find the starview version 257 file, its probaly zipped with winrar unzip it and drag it across to the bin file space then try it, if not a diff comp port and make sure its a null modem cable

    are you using a usb adapter or a rs232 to rs232 cable?.

    Hi, I found the wholesaller selling Starview, Eurovox, Dreambox and with new software at very good price. http://www.i'manidiot.com edited by ddp

    My computer doesnt have a serial point so I was using a usb adapter to rs 232. It didnt work
    Ive sorted the box now using a friends computer. Thanks for the help guys
