    Hi guys.
I've just this minute put my tv on and before even putting the box on I've noticed channels 1-5 are snowy screeens for some reason. Put the box on and there's no signal for any channel. I've checked all the connections and they all seem fine. I'm clueless so any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks.

Is you key emu on? Do you pay subs? Sounds like a CC or cable problem.

Yeah the EMU is on. Only subs we pay is for the phone line. Is there a way around this mate?

So this box is pretty much rendered useless now then? Great.
On a side note, dont know if it makes any difference, but the freeview box that's set up on the same TV works fine, does that help anything?

Thats why its called freeview :) Just buy the basic pack from VM with phone and that way you are assured of a live feed.

It could be just a local fault but paying subs is the way to go ;)

If it is just a local fault, could everything return to normal in a day or so then? Or am I clutching at straws here? lol.

Could do or check your OMNI outside, (brown box on wall), see if they have disconnected you there or go all out and go to the cab :)

Joking of course as that would be highly illegal. If Channels 1 to 5 is still showing your feed is still live, but degraded either by work going on in your area or you have been moved in the cab.

It may resolve itself. Or it could be internal so recheck all those connections. Either way subs are the best way forward ;)

Like I say, channels 1-5 through normal aerial are just snowy screens, no picture, no nothing.
The OMNI box, what exactly am I looking for when checking the connections? Sorry about this, i'm a complete newbie when it comes to all this stuff.

And so you are going down the path of breaking into boxes :) It should be outside but I doubt thats your problem.

Sorry that's as far as I can go.

Could take minutes or hours, thats the problem with no sub you cannot pick up the phone and say where is my TV signal gone :)

I always advocate at least a minimum sub. Keeps us and the network alive.

That's a fair point, I'll take that advice on board and look into it. Thanks again, will drop a message back when/if this fault gets fixed. Have a good day.
