starview box

please help me !!!

I have just got a starview box for my brother in law and whilst doing an automatic scan i knocked it off ..
i have tryed to reflash the software that i had on a floppy but i have put [THE BOX] software on by mistake . can i format the starview box coz the codes for it wont go in or is it broke now

can you help ???

Is it a genuine or clone Starview, check the SV EV Info link at the bottom of my post to find out and dont worry it can be fixed.

 

its a genuine 1 , like i say i have had loads through my hands but through my own daft fault i have put the Box software on instead of the correct one.

 

when i connect it to the tv , its just a screen saver THE BOX i cant do anything with it

 

OK you need to load version 4 to it and follow the bad flash guide here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/531363.

You will find Version 4 for a genuine Starview, in the Starview Firmware Folder in Eamos FTA Libray at the bottom of my post.

No problem should do if not just drop back.

 

its still dosnt want to work , i have tryed switching it on after pressing download , done that a few times it just flashes 3 lights then stops on the 4th , i also put in v4.o

 

I remember doing it for someone a while back and it took me over a dozen times to get it working again, just persevere if not you will have to have it jtagged.

 

correction its on tryed a new cable thanks for your help though ..

yeah mate its working fine now i just used a new cable and the software went straight in so thanks for your help im now a bit more clued up i think lol ..till the next problem .
