hi..,as i am all new 2 this, i really need sumbodys help>>>i hav just bought a starview hd box,and i need sum advice.the reason i bought this was because i use 2 be a sky hd owner and i loved the picture quilty,on the sky sports and movies,i know with the starview box its a duel reciver and u can get the sport and movies channels on the cable side,but the channels dont come in hd,is the any possible way can i get the hd channels by connecting my old sky dish to my starview hd.thanks
i hav heard that virgin are in talks with sky bout them being able 2 broadcast sky sports and movies in hd>>fingers crossed
possibly mate, but cant see Sky giving away their golden egg so easily, especially the HD side of their line up, thats the sellling point that they have over the others, secondly if they do give it Virgin, you wont be able to get it as they are going to Nagra 3 and possibly IPTV in 2012 for prem chans,
sky will likely sell hd to virgin on cable. but you need a virgin hd box. the starview hd will receive hd channels but the issue is how to decrypt them. and therein lies the rub. nagra3 is not compromised so your current config will not work
As far as I know Sky will not provide cable companies with sky sports HD as they want to keep it exclusively on their sat system as an incentive for people to go with them.
yip, they aint gonna give away the goose when they dont have to, they provide them chans as SD to others, so they are covered in that respect
hi ive lost all my channels on the starview hd combo+ box im in the high wycombe area and software version is verF4.03, LDR:ver 00.21can anybody help. thanks in advance
