NULL MODEM CABLE http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6 1. Go to the Start Menu 2. Right click on "My Computer" 3. Select "Properties" 4. Click on the "Hardware" tab 5. Click on "Device Manager" 6. Click the + sign next to "Ports (COM & LPT)" 7. One of the listed ports should indicate which port your cable is connected to (e.g. COM1, COM2, COM3, etc.) 8. Go back to your software program that you use to transfer data and make sure it is looking at the correct port. 9. You should be able to transfer data once the correct port is selected
is it possible u can e-mail me when the codes change 4 ntl uk please? was going mad 2day its working now thanks again lads. c'mon the HOOPS. .
Im sorry we cannot email every member that needs codes as we do this for FREE and too many members in different areas and providers. Your best bet is to get your box updated and you wont need codes no more The codes will ALWAYS be on that page I directed you too Glad your up and running from the lads and lassies
i got asked 2 look 4 a port but i have only 1 place the cable can go. i have a rs 232 cable r sumin is that any good 4 flash?
It is possible that the rs-232 cable you have is a null modem cable, as people throw around the 2 names as if they are the same thing. Did the cable come with the box when you got it? This however is no guarantee that it is the right one, as a lot of suppliers put the wrong cable in the boxes. The on port you have available, is it a 9-pin socket?
