Starview. SKY Digibox or Virgin media?

I have just recently moved from sky to virgin but ive still got my sky digibox which picks up the basics channels.

Can I use starview on my sky digibox even though im not subscribed to sky? and would anyone recommend it instead of using my new virgin box?

you could use both boxes together but starview works only on cable.
