starview the box 3 super pensioner needs attention

i am a 65 year old bloke who should know better, but have just purchased a starview box 3. i have n't got a clue what to do with it . would someone out there be able to help me to get it programmed or whatever the words are. if anyone does take the trouble to respondplease could they use words i am likely to understand ...thank you

press menu
press system info and come back and tell me what it says!

 

First of all, sixty five isn't that old, plenty of techie people are in their 50's, 60's and older!

Secondly, try reading through a couple of the threads on this forum and if you are still stuck, just ask for help. It's always a good idea to give your general location e.g. dublin and service provider e.g. n*l.

It's honestly not that complicated, i'd help but i don't know anything about the starviews, i'm sure some of the guys will help you, just wait a while. Everyone on here has other stuff to do, nobody gets paid for this, so just hang on for a day or two, they'll get you up and running.

noelyf i read that link and i couldn't even see if i was a clone or not..i am 20x7 ventwise.
because of the site of my scarts on the right looking from the front i guessed i was the real thing.
i went to that photo thing and have got a GTRom v 4.00 with a red arrow icon on my screen.
when i open this it asks for stb model and bin file and that is as far as i have got then i press exit and go and shout at my wife..

 

lol, what you need is the 7.09 Beta. You`ll find this in "the b0x super" folder. you wont need the GTRom v.4.00. There is no clone killing firmw@re for the St@rview 3 (yet) so you`ll be ok.

 

noelyf i am on a page that thanks me for downloading gtrom super 709e BETA.rar.
if this is correct can u tell me what to do next and please remember what i said at the start of this thread.
i really have no idea about computers thanks

 

you will need winrar to open the loader.
