You need to have your time settings to GMT +1 and auto.

You cannot get channel 5 on the Starview on certain providers.

Thanks man. I had a quick read, and after inputting my postcode, it appears I could receive channel 5. Is there anyway i could go about doing this on the Staview pvr? Do i retune on frequency (or channel) 37 and 32 respectively? Thanks.

As stated it is DTT so you may receive it via FTA or analogue and am unsure of PVR reception unless carried by your provider.

My provider is virgin. But on the PVR, I selected tw&c. Could this be a reason?

Virgin is the overall provider for the UK, you are I presume in an ex TW area.

Possibly as i live in an area where they overlap with NTL. Virgin sub-office is only a few miles away so i would think am on their exchange. Also, if i picked NTL i dont really get any channels iirc. Hence why i use tw&c

So I see you are in an over lapping area. What I was saying about Five is you can get it if your provider carries it. What is your general location/nearest city?

Bromley - Exchange close to me
Lewisham - Exchange closer to me
sydenham - ???? Not sure if there is one here.

    (All in South East London)

Channel 5 should normaly come up right a CH 5? (or similar tag). I think am gonna rescan for it.

    Hi sc0user
Sorry to butt in but is this new beta 4.52 firmware for the box 2 and the box pvr ? as I don't see any mention of using the hard disc for transfer in the notes with it, it does mentions using the new improved gtrom loader via rs232.

Its hard to give you a difinitive scanning frequency as I am not sure of your exact provider, if you input all the codes for all providers and scan again you should see it as FIVE. All codes can be found here http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/531363

@jbvid I stand corrected yes it is only for the box, too many names with similarities and I do answer a lot of queries at once so hence the confusion.

No problem but why would you want to go down the jtag road?

I meant if I had put the 4.52 wrong firmware in the box it may have killed it.
