when recording through stereo mix, i have two pcs with 2 different sound cards. if i play music, one plays extreme bass as it's a powerful soundcard. when recording audio however, will the recorded audio be exactly the same on both sound cards?

    What do you mean by
??? That doesn't make sense. In theory there should be no noticeable difference in recording between different cards, but the best way to find out is try them.

when i said that, i meant playback, not recording. one is a regular laptop 2 speaker system. with no powerful bass. the other is something like a 5.1 soundcard (not sure on configuration because only using 2 regular speakers). i bought new sony earphones for my mp3 player but tested playback on both soundcards. the laptop was weak. the 'powerful' one has extreme levels of adjustable bass. the reason i used earphones was because the speakers are old and don't support the powerful bass
