which is better for mp3 Stereo or Joint Stereo? i couldn't find a difference. can someone tellme which one they use? i use eac and even though in the configuration i choose joint stereo when the lame application is launched it says 44.1Khz and constant bit rate and Stereo. Can someone tell me how do i use VBR and Joint Stereo. I selected VBR and Quality value 5 in the DLL Tab and also Joint Stereo.
first off kudos to you for using EAC, its the best ripper out there. This is the difference between joint stereo and stereo: with stereo, there are two independent channels. with joint stereo, the encoder keeps all the data that is the same for both channels into one channel, and the different data for left and right into the different channels. so joint stereo maintains stereo but results in smaller file size. I use jiont stereo and the results I have are fine, so just stick with joint stereo.
