I went through all your instructions exactly...there were a few problems...during the first installation of the IV codecs, it said i had more up to date ones already...and during the nimo installation there was one unspecified error that I ignored. But anyway I have several avi's that when I play whatever player immediately says there was some sort of illegal action and asks if I want to debug...Gspot says I have everything I need...could you point me in the right direction. Thanks

so did u just go on a "install codec" spree? if u did then that could be the problem, codec conflicts!

I had (what I think is the same) unspecified error when I tried installing Nimo also. It said it couldn't overwrite a certain file, or something like that, and I believe it ended up failing to install, even after I went through the rest of the installation and clicked finish.

Did you have a media player open at the time? Did you try again anyways?
