i have a wire and on one end it has a line out/headphone plug and on the other end are two reciever type things like the ones on remotes where the signal goes out from. what does the wire do and what is it? any help is appreciated.
a little big, hopefully the mods won't get too angry, worked when i first posted. ok for some reason it doesn't work. sorry
I think it came with some audio related stuff, maybe some speakers or subwoofer. The end with two receivers looks like the part of the remote, I think the ir sensor.
its probably meant to hook up to a audio receiver, and have the IR senders/receivers be placed in front of other devices (like a CD player) so that the receiver and receiver remote can control the functions of other equipment...
LOL sorry. my hypothesis is that the cable you have is meant to hook up to a home theatre audio receiver. by plugging in the cable to the receiver, then placing those infrared senders in front of other objects, like a CD player, DVD player, TV, etc...it allows the receiver to then be able to control those devices by sending them infrared signals as if it were the units remote controls. did that help explain is better?
yeah its probably used for something like that...it may be for something other than an audio receiver, it could be for a cable box, or a tivo set, or something related to audio/video.
