Sorry if this is misplaced, but I don't know where it'd fit best.

Sooo...I know that I don't have that good of a computer, so I don't really ever expect too much out of it, but this is just stupid. Recently when I've tried to watch videos, the playback has just been pitiful - the colors/saturation are screwed up, sometimes I get that scrambled cable porn look (no, it's not porn...just using that analogy), and recently it's all been very pixelated...not like, big blocks all over the place, but the edges of things are blocky, like they're made out of legos or something, you know?

Alright, so I set out to try to fix it because I used to not have this big a problem. I downloaded ffdshow (I remember having that from before I had to redo my computer), I had DivX, Xvid, anything else that I've had in the past that has worked fine, but nothing ever fixed anything. I tried MPC, VLC Media Player, BSPlayer, and while one might fix the scrambled porn look, it'd be more pixelated blah blah blah. Even the fixing the scrambled look was random; if I'd just restart the player, it might fix it or it might not.

So, I updated my video card driver, and it went through and everything went fine and I restarted my computer. Now, whenever I try to play any video whatsoever, my computer restarts - anything from BSPlayer to the embedded videos on YouTube.

    Any insight to this? Thanks!
