I can't get Streambox to download a particular video (a commercial) using the mms(TCP) protocol. It keeps giving me a response "server: file not found". I have tried all the other protocols and the only one that works is mms(http), but it won't completely download the video. It downloads about 497kb, saying that it's complete when it's not.

I've tried using versions 3.1 and 3.0 but have had no luck with either. I've also tried changing the URL from mms to http as indicated by the help guide.

When I try to play the video through WMP I have no problems, it streams on TCP port 1755. But it just doesn't work in Streambox. The only thing I can figure that's causing the problem is because it's on MSN. I have no idea what I'm talking about but I'm guessing it has some sort of digital signature or something on it. In the Streambox logs, it looks like something is trying to contact Micro$soft for codecs or something. I really don't know, that's just my best guess.

My big problem is that I'm on dialup so the only way I can properly view the video is to download it to my HD. Otherwise, it plays so poorly it's more like a slideshow than a video.

Could someone please help me get this video?

StreamBox VCR is getting a little outdated for downloading some MMS protocol Windows Media streams. There are new better recorders for those streams. Make sure you have the bandwidth set correctly.
Here is a FAQ about StreamBox VCR.

Recorders like GetASFStream, Net Transport, or SDP would be better choices.
