Ok so I flashed the bios of my xecuter 2.6 lite plus through http, then i made a evox install disk using a dvdrw and a cdrw just to make sure the dvd drive could read the disk, when i go to bootup with the dvdrw or the cdrw already in the drive and the modchip on it just stays on the blue screen. I know i flashed it because it says type of flash XECUTER but its like it doesnt even attempt to read the disk it just goes to that blue screen with the options to flash, unlock, lock hdd ect. Ive installed other modchips before but this is my first attempt installing a xecuter with flashbios 3.0.3 on it. Any help would be appreciated.
So you flashed via http? On network. If it worked your bios is already flashed. You just need to boot to the bank you flashed. Flashbios is cromwell (legal) and can't read unsigned code or boot discs, that is why it is not working. You should have 2 banks, flash your bios (whatever it is) to bank one, keeping in mind that Flashbios is on bank 2, then switch to bank 1 and boot. If your flash was successful, it would not go to flashbios. Also read this guide before you reflash, and make sure you read it well cause the 2.6's are weird like this. http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=351619 You have to use X2BM to make bios out of 4 256k images. Hope this helps you joey -Irish
yo thanks for the help, as of right now its at my friends but i remember when i was fiddiling around with it i switched to bank 1 to see what would happen when it booted. Well when i turned it back on it turned on and off two times and on the third time the eject button flashed red. I think this usual means somethings wrong with the installation but if that was the case i wouldnt even see flashbios 3.0.3. I will attempt to use the X2BM v2.3 and flash from a cdrw to see if it works. Thanks for your help
Ya the flashing went to shit if it fragged. My advice instead of using CD's, is get an exploit for splinter cell (if you have it) then you can ftp the bios over and flash from HD. Otherwise use http to flash the correct bios. CD's can be bitches and you have to add a dummy file so the drive will read such a small amount. Good luck bro
yo i went step by step like that guide said and ftped the new bios i created using X2BM and it worked! Im a moron, thanks for the help
No, you're not a moron, X2.6's are a bit tough. That's why people make great tuts. Glad I could help.
