Please will someone help. using xp service pack 2 had studio 9 up & running. installed pinnacle rave card. This installed Quickstart over the full 9 version. tried to remove it with end result of: Studio 9 will not re-install. All cd, dvd & dvdrw drivers have been overwritten by pinnacle drivers Drivers have disabled drives as they can no longer be seen in 'my computer' Have tried to remove pinnacle drivers, system won't do this as they are most up to date avaliable. can someone please help, my son is helping me with all the tech stuff & he is now at a total loss. I have never had such a problem program before & really don't know what to do next. Please don't suggest contacting pinnacle I'm sure they enjoy watching their customers suffer
AT PINNACLE SITE they have a registry cleaner to remove pinnacle from your registry... look for it at their site or type your problem inot googles and it may send you there..I think it is called registry delete... type it in at their forums and it may come up
thanks for that, son has deleted some of the reg files & we now have drives back on the puter. Will follow your advice if what he has already done hasn't sorted everything out. Thanks again for your help.
Deleting registry files is dangerous.... better to use the program at Pinnacle... even though it does not exactly work as they say.... I read at their forum to use it twice in order to clean out the number... when I installed again the number was still there.
