Okay so u've softmodded ur xbox but dont know what to do next. U dont even know how to FTP to ur Xbox or put the 'Mods' into Halo 2 then configure ur xbox to play live again, Well im going to teach u how the Easy way. I will only write up the Router way because im being lazy. [bold]Equipment[/bold] Router, Ethernet cable, Softmodded xbox with either EvoX or UnleashedX as the dash FlashFXP PPF-O-Matic PPF files (your choice) [bold]Method[/bold] 1. Connect Your xbox to your Router using the Ethernet cable 2. Open the disk drive to Show the UnleashX boot menu (on a softmodded xbox) 3. go to SETTINGS -> Network 4. change type from static to DHCP and set Auto-Detect to yes, press B and select Yes, go back to the main boot menu and select Turn Off Xbox 5.Now turn ur Xbox on using the Little Power Button, Make sure Your IP address shows up in the bottom left corner, if not you will have to guess ... 4. Open FLASHFXP (search on google FlashFXP download) 5. Click Connect -> Quick Connect] 6. Input you Xbox Ip Address (Default is 192.168.1.4 but my freinds was 192.168.1.5 once) 7. type in xbox for user name + password 8. make sure the port box is set to 21 and click connect. 9 now you have connected to your xbox its time to learn PPF files and PPF-O-Matic ... [bold]the maps[/bold] 1. open internet explorer 2. go to http://www.a4h.us 3. click downloads in the link box 4. click Xbox -> PPF tested then keep that window up. 5. now in flashFXP you need to FTP to your xbox 6. Browse to E -> T Data -> 7. now u need to look for a folder with 64 as the last digits 8. open up the $c folder 9. here are the folders containing the maps for halo 2. 10. using Flash FXP download the files to your computer. [bold]PPF-O-Matic[/bold] 1.Open PPF-O-Matic 2. Click the Open button next to the ISO box 3. open your map of choice (ill use Turf as an Example) 4. then open your patch of choice (these are the PPF files you should download from http://a4h.com) 5. Now click apply and you have just made your first modded map. [bold]getting the map to work[/bold] 1. open Flash Fxp again 2. connect to your xbox and browse to the map folder 3. now upload the map you PPF'ed (make sure it is in the correct folder or it will not work!) 4. if all goes well you will have gotten it to work (but now you ask why cant i get on xbox live) [bold]getting on live[/bold] 1. open ur xbox cd drive so the unleashedX boot menu shows up, 2. now restore MS backup 3. now u should have ur normal xbox dashboard back. 4. go into settings -> network settings 5. make sure they are configured properly (mine is set to the following) 6.If you wish to connect to live u may have to keep switching Dashboards to mod again IP ADDRESSES Configuration: Manual Ip Address: 192.168.1.35 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.1 DNS SERVERS Configuration: Manual Primary DNS: 192.168.1.1 Alternate DNS 0.0.0.0 ) [that is all i have to set on my xbox and i can go on xbox live. i warn you though DO NOT EVEN ATTENP TO GO ON MATCH MAKING !!!!! YOU WILL GET BANNED AND I WILL NOT HELP PEOPLE get back on xbox live if they have been tryig to cheat on matchmaking.] *Any Problems Just Ask and i will help... *I dont know how easy this is to follow but i tryed my hardest and instructions arnt my best skill in life. *Modding is not cheating if you play for fun, Using mods in competitive/ranked game IS CHEATING and i will back bungie against perputraitors

hey i cant change my dhcp to auto matic and i dont know how could you plz help me i have a soft moded xbox. i need the ppf-o-matic and how do i create my own mods
@fallback9, You need to change Static to DHCP, there is not DHCP automatic. PPF-O-MATIC can be found on www.a4h.us under downloads U dont actually make your own Mods, you download things called PPF files then use PPF-O-MATIC to apply the 'Mod' to the map its for.
it only bans u from XBL if u sign on trying to play a burned game or just sign on with your chip on.....but that is still to be determined because i was banned from live on all my accounts with my CHIP OFF. IT WAS ALWAYS OFF. There are rumors going around that microsoft has new techniques to catching modders so your best bet is just not to deal with live at all!!!!!
@akspud93: okay i have been playing halo 2 (modded) on xbox live for about 3 months now, and i havent been banned. I dont know about the copied disks though but i saw sumthing pop up once about not being able to play on XBL with Burnt disks. If not use XBC or a similar service that allowes modding... Please dont use this thread for comments on using Mod Chips, this thread is about modding halo 2 and how to get back on XBL once you have done it.
Yeah, umm... I don't see the file you speak of. Am I supposed to have Halo 2 burned onto my Xbox's HD?
Hey i tried to apply it but after i apply im not shure which is the folder that has the modds applied cause they look the same i suppose that i have to put for example the file of the map like warlock but im not shure if it is applied but since it says that was modify i think its that one so can u guys tell me if im doing it wrong and if u want send me a friend request to ALEX 1991 and help me out or u can chat with me and just in case i don't wana mod online
wait sepcifics u are asking how can u tell which are the modded maps and where to put them??? Well u cannot tell my looking at themif they are modded the best thing to do is to copy the 3 folders 0001-0003 and put them into a folder called fresh maps on ur comp and then make another one for modded maps and then u can easily be sure if u are replacing it with a modded or fresh map.
