I am in the process of getting all the parts for my first build together. I got my motherboard and already have a probably stupid question to ask. Please bear with me friends - I want to do this right.

Thed mother board (gigabyte) has an ATX 12V-sX power connectorr and a ATX 20+4 power connector. I have a PC power power supply which has the connectors for both. Do I use both or only connect to the motherboard with one of them? I knolw this is probably a stupid question but I am an electronics newbie. (I was told I could do this!) Your help is greatly appreciated!

one is to power the cpu and the other is to power the motherboard. you need to use both.
