i have a movie in .avi format and i also have a .sub/.idx file(s) to go with the .avi file and was wondering what i could use to put the .sub files onto the DVD, to my knowledge the .sub files is like the subtitles off a DVD so it has different languages. so i was wondering if there is a program to put the .sub/.idx files and rip them along with the .avi file. (i have tried DVDsanta but it dosen't work) thx
I don't know how to include .IDX files, but if you convert .sub (MicroDVD) format into .srt (Subrip) format, you can use what is described in http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm .
I once had the same problem - adding subs onto a foreign film to burn onto DVD - i solved it by using the forum at videohelp. try the following links they should more helpful. links: 1. http://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/153058.php 2. http://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/87065.php i suggest you look over those, i used the first link, but their both as good.
