I am using dvd-lab pro for everything. I have triedd multiple moves multiple times and i get the same result. I import srt subs and convert to sp1 with dvd-lab pro. Everything works fine when i play it back. ( there are 2 audios and 1 sub file) the japanese and english audio both work. BUt the subs arent showing up no matter what! what am i doing wrong??? btw i have used alot of different programs to play back the dvd file and they all wont sow the subtitles!
I am unable to get subtitles to show after using DVDlab Pro as well. I've tried all possible combinations.. even forcing them on, but they don't show...If anyone has any tips, i'm ready to listen...
I am soo happy the problem is that for some reason the computer cant read the subtitles but they play perfectly fine on my tv dvd player ^_^
Yes, I know, I tried to play the movie on a dvd player program ( several) and they didnt show, but they work on dvd players so its ok.
Yeah, same here.... once they were compiled, the Video_TS folder was accessed to play in WinDVD, and subtitles were forced 'off', the only option. I tried unclicking 'off', but it won't allow that. I haven't tried to burn on a disc and play on my stand-alone, but I doubt it will work. I guess I could use a RW, but I don't see the point. WinDVD plays all other Ripped DVD's with full subtitle options, so I must be doing something wrong with DVDLAB PRO. I know that if you make any changes to the subtitles, you must make the stream over again, but I do subtitles last before compiling. I should also add that I have contacted Media Chance weeks ago, but have yet to recieve a response.
I still can't preview the subs on the PC, but when i burned an RW, they worked like a charm.... hmm... wonder what's up. I guess, DVDLab may be creating a non-standard navigation in the DVD that WinDVD can't read. Oh well. I have a working template now.... that's all that's important.
I use dvd-lab pro for subs all the time and no problems playing on sw pc dvd players. The subs are there as you can see them. First thing is to make sure you are starting the right IFO. It must be the VIDEO_TS.IFO that is in the same directory as the other VIDEO_TS_01.IFO and .VOB files. If you don't load the specific file, amek sure all the files are in the same VIDOE_TS directory and point the player to start there. Make sure have the subs turned on. Also check in the PUO section of the authoring to make sure you have not prohibited subs from being turned on for some reason. This is a long shot as the STB player would also not show any subs. Lastly, you could reauthor the title and check the sub on by default box in the sub details screen.
Everytime I try anything my videos play fine but with no sound and if i go in and explore the dvd and manually pick the movie i get sound. Also it starts at some random place and i have no chapters going. but same thing when i open it through exploring it will play properly any suggestions?
Maybe you should take a look at connections and see if everything flows right, and starts where u want it to start ect.
Well, I don't put in chapters cuz it is episodes of a show. so I have my main menu which has play all and also go to menu 2. Play all is linked to play movie 1 "chapter start" is what it says. Menu 2 allows me to select episodes. Each one starts at "chapter start". But like I mentioned earlier, when I play it there is no sound and it starts at some random place. But, when I try to play the files before DVD Lab Pro I have no problem it's only when I make the cd that it starts doing this.
I had similar issues when I was using a template i created. The links to the chapter points (movie starts also) were in the wrong place, and I had to go thru and re-link all movie starts/chapter points to the right places.
Hello!! I'm new around here, and new in the world of creating dvds and films I see this program is conflictive... I also have the problem of the subtitles, no matter what I do, they don't appear (and i have done the things that are said in one post, to add the vob file first, etc...) Have you found any solution rather than testing it in a dvd in the tv?? I have to add subtitles manually for 4 films of 20 minutes each and I think is risky to make all them and them probe in TV... If someones knows anything, i will be grateful Ciao!!
which programa do you see conflictive lagun and why? DVDLab Pro handles lots of subs format and I have burn quite many compilations with subtitles without any problem. If you have version 1.53 on page 37, IIRC, of the manual you get more info about how to handle subs...
hello k0k0m0, I meant with conflictive dvd-lab pro, it is a very good program, but i have found problems with subtitles I have read the acrobat file about subtitles but... still I can't them to appear in powerdvd, I suposse it must be my computer or something... because i have followed all the steps to get them right.
Well, that's weird... I use powerdvd also and I have been able to preview the subs perfectly well in all cases...
