I`m new at this forum but I sow it`s very big one so I`m hoping some will help me! I maked a DVD from VHS casset because I vant to send it to my friend in Australia. But the problem is that I need to put a a englis subtitle on it. I downloaded all the programs I heard of (infoedit, vobedit, subtitleworkshop....) I`ll menage somehow to make a subtitle in sup format but I really dont know how to put it in to DVD (vob)
Heres a link to guide that may help. This is going to involve using programs like DVD Lab, DVD Maestro IFOEdit and a couple others. It can be done but not easily or cheaply. I don't know if DVD Maestro is avalible anymore. http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/subtitles.htm Try Googling "add DVD subtiles", etc thats what I did. An even more expensive way is to use an authoring program like Ulead's DVD workshop for $495.00US, or Adobe Encore for $549.00. I've got my cheap DVD Lab for $99.00 but it won't do it. Here are some sites to look at: http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?category=subtitles&name=subtitleadd http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27268 http://www.divx-digest.com/software/dvd_subtitle_tools.html I wish I could tell you there is an easy and cheap way to do this but I can't find it, maybe someone else has a better solution.
