Okay, I gave up on Roxio because I couldn't get ANY backups to play on my stand alone.

On single layer DVD's I rip and encode directly with DVDDecrypter, however it always seems to playback in a stand alone as Full Screen, even if I ripped Widescreen. Wierd...

On the DVD-9's....I'm doing this, tell me where my mistake is?

    1. DVDDecrypter
    a. FILE MODE
    b. EDIT > Select Main Movie Files
    c. Decrypt

    2. DVD2One
    a. MOVIE ONLY
    b. I Pick the 1st Title, and English Audio/Subtitles
    c. Compress

    3. NERO 6
    a. DVD-VIDEO
    b. No Multisession, Joliet not checked
    ISO LEVEL 1
    c. Drag files that were compressed in DVD2ONE into the VIDEO_TS folder
    d. Burn DVD (2.4x speed) as 4x speed keeps crashing

Where am I messing up? or why does it work on some DVD's, and not others? Last 2 I had problems with were Terminator and ID4.

Using TKD +R Media, TKD Indi 420N +R/RW Burner.

Also curious as to why when I follow this format that the VOB file is in widescreen when I watch it on PowerDVD, but yet, when I burn it, and it goes successfully, its full screen on a stand alone? am I missing a setting somewhere?

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Do not rip main movie files, rip all the files.

Why rip all of the files, when all I really want is the movie, or do I have to, and then select Movie only in DVD2One?

    Okay, I'll try DVDShrink.... HOWEVER...

I have this question, why is it every problem that someone has with DVDDecrypter is answered "Try DVDShrink", and any problem that someone has with DVD Shrink, is "Try DVD Decrypter"... Same with Nero, and Roxio, and some Recordnow?

To me, this doesn't answer the questions. And if someone has a problem with one software, most likely they'll do the same with the other software as the interfaces can't be that different. My guess are MOST of peoples problems are with incorrect settings or steps.

Why not have someone that knows the software the user is using answer the question, then someone else using something entirely different just saying to try their software?

Maybe they have.... and if they spent anytime reading these boards, they'd already know of both softwares, so to me that just isn't a good answer, no offense.
