    Hi,

I am suddenly unable to burn DVDs. After a year of successful burning I am now completely unable to use my DVD Shrink/Nero. I can burn CDs still, and I am using the same DVD brand. I also tried not shrinking it so much and burning slower, but am still encountering the same problems. Your help would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    - too old, update to latest, 6.6.0.16

    - firmware is 4 versions behind, BS0S is here - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?category=4&manufactor=17

    - yup, Nero's too old to recognise your burner properly

    - you're burning to outer edge of discs. set target size to 4300MB is DVD Shrink's preferences, thus avoiding outer edge and not sacrificing much space

    - get that firmware updated

    - splat!

    - hmmm, this is similar to what this paragraph should look like -
. wierd, because your drives all show DMA to be ON. just to be sure, reset your DMA settings via this - http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/FAQ.htm

When you've followed ALL those suggestions, do a 'simulation burn' in Nero and paste that section of logfile here whether burn works or not, so we can check progress
